The PMBOK Guide - 4th edition strives for excellence in project management with a standard that is even easier to understand and implement, with greater clarification and improved consistency. To aid reader understanding, standard language has been incorporated throughout the document. The PMBOK Guide 4th edition also comes with new data flow diagrams to clarify inputs and outputs for each process.
New features in the 4th edition are two new processes, Identify Stakeholders and Collect Requirements. Also, more attention has been focused on how Knowledge Areas integrate in the context of planning, executing, initiating, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing process groups.
